What's the use for a Uni-directional USB-C Repeater Cable?

UNI-DIRECTIONAL USB-C CABLE!

No joking!

This USB-C cable is a uni-directional cable that supports single-way signal transmission!

It purposefully got a red jacket to feature this.

What's the use?

All the USB cable is bi-directional, however, this cable is uni-directional, or you can say it is directional, one-way, or single-way transfer cable.

So when you use it, you may have the Black side to your host while the Red side to your device.

What situation you will need such a cable?

For Security Purpose:
Due to security reasons, you may not want other party to see what you have inside your computer (host), it may be a reciprocal protocol that both side can see each other what's inside. (That's probably may explain nowaday why your WIFI router will have a guest mode).

For Work Efficiency:
When you have the cable plugged to computer and the other side with a device, then your computer may prompt you something to remind you that you've connected to another device. If your device is smart enough, then it may also have same response. That's a waste of time, especially that if you have the setting in the production side, or test laboratory.

And, don't forgot that this is a repeater cable, it comes a repeater in the middle that you can have the extension up to 8 meters (or 26 feet) approx.
